Welcome to Šega.

"Šega" In Slovenian language means "tradition". Šega creek or " potok Šega" is a little river in the hills near the village of Makole in the region of Štireska Slovenia. The hills are at the most western part of the Haloze hills. The highest peak of the area is the Boč at close to a thousand meters. The west parts of the Haloze hills have less steep hillsides and there is a lot of family wine growing.

This region has alot to offer for tourists and locals, with many caves, waterfalls and wild climbing.

There is an incredible amount of clear water springs along the mostly forested hills between Makole and Rogaska Slatina. The forest clearings and small agricultural grasslands provide sunny and warm spots for numerous insects, butterflies and dragonflies
